Shadows of Time

Time doesnt stop for anyone but what stops is we who are drawn by time into varied leafs of past present and future. Relishing, cursing, passing and thriving through the thickness of these leaves we form some memories and fondle them to eternity. Once the most cherished and precious moments of life become a source of endless pain yet return back to our mind with the same thrill and charm. Strangely but strikingly we mortals love things which come with an innate pain. A pain which manyfolds raises the pleasure which it brings alongside. Yet what remains shadowed in that love is the pain which gets fossilized in the drying leaf of our past.

Its almost certain that things which you hated once will just wash out of your memory because you cursed those leaves of this spiral scripture of life. A sensation which is left is that of soothing peace like a progressing hurricane just diverted its way and you are saved from an inevitable disaster. But those moments shining in your eyes once as gems of those sparkling times leave behind tears yet fail to fade out.

All that happens is that they just take a lower seat in the mounting pile of memories.

Attitudinal Shift

Human expression often gives varied connotations to a word. One example often evident is the use of word 'attitude'. Sometimes used in a sense of appreciation as an asset of human persona and equally common usage of the word to describe the arrogrance, cowardice or selfishness of a person. Attitude becomes the scale for marking the gradation evident in human behaviour and expression spanning for negative to positive.
Debating on this very issue, a keen look at the swaying life led me to a strange visible fact. Chapter by chapter, turn by turn, a human being shifts from one behavioural pattern to another driven by shifts in his/her attitude and the process continues throughout his/ her life. This striking reality is knitted at a subtle level constantly under the influence of stark self and dissociated externalities. "An attitudinal shift is what the world calls for" time and again within each and every individual, in each and every situation.
It stretches beyond an issue of choice, attitudinal changes are shaped by unrestricted forces of the surroundings beyond the influence of an individual. In reality we are only rarely what we want to be or the way we want to behave...but what is apparent, is a mere personification of a series attitudinal shifts influenced and instigated by people, things and though processes around.
The positive and negative manifestations of human personality in this world are merely based on the attitudinal choices made be an individual. A right selection can open the gateway to a raised persona while a wrong selection could be a pack of endless misfortune. Power of discretion becomes the most important tool for laying down the foundation of a positive personality.
So next time you undergo an attitudinal shift towards a subject, object or action...take time to check where you are heading to. Working under the influence of gross or subtle externalities or making a choice with a self- conscious consent??? Obviously the choice is yours!!!

Where mind fails...heart feels!!

Sliding through those typical coarse pale leaflets, I came across a story which struck me deep inside. Hidden behind those dirty clothes, filthy hands and stinking tresses was a heart, mind and soul staunched in the eternal colour. Taught me the meaning of life...crying over the sorrows we have makes us criminal of universal sorrow. This little orphan child, deprived of the luxury of life, has learnt the lessons divine. Bloated with the pride of being self sufficient, we leave no chance to publicise to the world our meager acts of giving...but her act of kindness came as a blow to my very existence. I cry of my sorrows day and night despite having all I need, look at this child, in the reality of having nothing she is satiated with all that she can do with a penny. And whenever she sees someone in need she doesnt fail to part with that penny. I have a tower of material gains but to part with one bit brings severe pain.
Materials can be acquired but richness is a virtue bestowed.

Should I or Should'nt I ???

A universal question which makes decisions difficult....I always wonder who is this confusing, me with conflicting thoughts. A thread of yes and no/ do it and don't do it webbing through the mind. Where are these voices coming from??? Who is telling 'ME' what I should and what I shouldnt do??
Oh no, if its not me, who is sitting inside me and dictating me.?? It never struck to me that within me there is someone else who is dictating my actions....Two forces constantly battling between me telling me right and wrong are non other than, my mind and my pure discrimination....then who is "Me" if its not mind or pure discrimination?? And everytime I decide to do or not to do, who am I satisfying myself or my mind or the pure discrimination??
Phew!! this is messy!!!!!
And its reflection of this inner mess that gets reflected in our outer self......Are we not time and again through our confused inner being portraying a confused behaviour and messing up our outer world!!!
Its actually battling this "should I and should'nt I" in a righteous manner that can make us wage and win all battles happening in the world outside us.
Outside is just a reflection of Inside!!!

It keeps on ticking!!!

Just like a the ticking of the wall clock our mind is ticking each moment each second. Billions of thoughts cross our mind in a flash of a second. Rise and fall its all mind's game. Each time I sit and start viewing my mind as a third person I get amazed by its power. The control it has on our behaviour, on our actions is amazing. We are no more than an instrument in the hands of our mind. And surprisingly mind has no physical existence yet it overpowers our actions. The body, the speech, the hands, the legs are all the same for a criminal and a saint but we like the company of a saint and not a criminal. Whats the difference??

MIND...the thoughts we intake and the views we articluate...
